Cannon Rebel vs. Nikon N80 vs. Pentax ZX-M?

I’m taking a high school photography class and need a 35mm SLR camera. I’m either considering the Canon EOS Rebel or the Nikon N80 or the Pentax ZX-M. Cannon and Nikon are more familiar brands to me, but I was wondering if the Pentax has any unique qualities?
I want something that isn’t TOO complicated to work.
Can you give me some pros and cons of these cameras and which one would be the best for a beginning photography class?
It has to have:
Adjustable shutter
Adjustable aperture
Adjustable focus
Working light meter

Thanks,

C

All three will do what you want to do, but I would personally go with N80 (F80) because it is a great camera. A lot the first high end digital cameras like the Nikon D100, Fuji S2 Pro, and Kodak DCS-14n were based on the N80 body. The Canon is fine too but if the prices are about the same, again I would purchase the N80. Take a look at the two links below for a good review of the N80 and the EOS Rebel G. Pentax is a fine camera too, but you will have a harder time finding lenses and accessories for Pentax because it was not as popular as the Nikon or the Canon. As for the first two responses (posts), I think they are confusing the EOS Rebel XS (35mm) with the Digital Rebel XS.
